RESURFACE
Fraxel Laser Resurfacing
When we are looking to rejuvenate our skin we are all generally looking to create an even canvas, one that is devoid of irregular pigmentation from our years in the sun, and one that is missing the red patches/broken blood vessels and wrinkles to the skin. We are able to achieve a “smooth canvas,” reducing the need for layers of liquid foundation to create an even complexion with the use of lasers which help to address all the above mentioned issues. We are all looking for smooth skin, for volume, and tightening, but we sometimes overlook the impact sun spots and uneven pigmentation can have on creating and aged look to our skin.
Lasers which have reduced recovery time such as the Fraxel Dual, have made it possible to address these issues in a way that is very accessible and has patients recovering over short periods, most of the time patients are able to recover over the weekend after such treatments. Many of these lasers permit the patient to even use make-up immediately after, so that the regular routine is not affected during treatments.
Microneedling:
Microneedling technology is a percutaneous induction device which has broadened our capabilities to resurface scars and wrinkles with minimal downtime and amazing results. This involves no lasers, and is a small device with a powerful motor that allows for customization of treatment and depth of the needles in different parts of the face and body.
A topical serum of hyaluronic acid or PRP is used topically on the skin and this allows for the microneedling pen to glide over the skin smoothly. The small micro-injuries that are induced then stimulate collagen and new skin growth to rejuvenate the areas treated. This is safe for all areas of the body, and is used also for stretch marks and scars.
